Business Contact Manager is now available for download by users who upgraded to Outlook 2010.
The requirements are : “You purchased a copy of Outlook with Business Contact Manager with Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Office 2007, or standalone Office Outlook 2007, and You purchased a copy of Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010, Microsoft Office Professional 2010, or standalone edition of Microsoft Outlook 2010.”
While I’m happy that it’s finally available for everyone, not just volume licenses, I’m disappointed in the requirement that only those who had a previous version of BCM through Office and upgraded to Outlook 2010 can legally download BCM. It should be for anyone who needs it, whether they upgraded to Office 2010 or are new users. As of this writing, they don’t check for previous versions, so its all on the honor system, but I would rather see it offered to all users.
Users who wish to download BCM need to enter their product key from Office 2010.
