If you are already an iPhone user with a data plan, you have probably thought about what your bill will be like when you add a data plan for your new iPad to your monthly costs. This is why it is nice to hear that Canadian iPhone carrier Rogers is considering offering multi idevice plans that will allow you to access one data plan on multiple devices.
Rogers has been asking iPhone customers whether or not they would combine devices onto a single data plan. This might mean paying a one time fee in order to do so, but would presumably allow iPhone and iPad owners to save a ton of money by avoiding multiple data plans. This would definitely set a precedent for North American carriers in general, which wouldn’t be something new for Rogers as early this year they were the first to offer tethering for the iPhone at no additional cost.
