I would not expect things to be tied to the profile except X509 certificates.
Backup the profile folders and then delete the profile. Login and create a new
profile. Copy bits needed from the backup profile folder.
X509 Certs should be exported first if you can but if the profile is that
screwed you may have little to loose.
