When the new mobile OS was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress on 15 February, it was showcased on specially built Asus handsets.
But it was expected that the models were just for the expo and wouldn’t actually go into production.

It now seems that Microsoft and the Taiwanese manufacturer will be bringing out a commercial version of the device, according to the industry analyst that broke the news of Google’s Nexus One.
Ashok Kumar claims to have spoken to Microsoft’s suppliers and design partners, who have revealed that the rumoured unit is very much a reality.
However, Kumar adds that development issues have led to a delay in production and that it’s unlikely we’ll see the phone until early next year.
