iPad wont include Weather, Clock, Calculator, etc. apps
Reports today from Macnn, among many other Apple centric sources, report the iPad will not ship with many of the stock apps that were shipped with most iterations of the iPhone and iPod Touch OS. The apps and utilities omitted by Apple for, at least, the first generation of the iPad include Calculator, Stocks, Clock, Weather, and Voice Memos. Macnn reports it was issues scaling up the apps to the iPad’s larger screen that ultimately led to the omission of the apps from the final OS.

There were reports earlier in the week that there may be some type of Mac OS X widget- like functionality. However, these rumors seem to be nothing more than exactly that.
What do you think about Apple’s decision to omit these apps from the iPad? Do you think they will be reintroduced in a future version of the OS, possibly OS 4.0?
